On September 15, 2010, the celebration concert for 200 years anniversary of birth of Frederic Chopin and for his visit in the castle will take place in Děčín. Chopin was a friend of the Thun family, owners of the castle, and in September 1835 he visited them here.

Ivo Kahánek, one of the most talented pianists of present young generation, will play Chopin's compositions on PETROF 210 Pasat grand piano. The so-called "Děčín waltz" As-dur op. 34 no. 1, which Chopin dedicated to the comtesse Josefina Thun, will be played too.
