PETROF PIANO TRIO

The PETROF TRIO originated from an idea from the violinist of the Wihan Quartet Jan Schulmeister in 2009. Its members are prestigious chamber players, who bring 25 years of concert experience as a violinist and new excitement in their extremely talented young pianist and a cellist.

In the same year, the ensemble became a trio of the PETROF Company, which connected its tradition and quality with a view of the artists to create top-level concert artists. The trio’s repertoire includes pieces from composers from the early classics to impressionism (Haydn, Mozart, Schumann, Brahms, Dvořák, Lalo, Fauré, Debussy, etc.). The ensemble also plays contemporary composers, whom enrich their repertoire with compositions from 20th and 21st centuries.
